The Brunswick combines materials the way a lot of good Melbourne cafes do: a curved timber back plank on a slim black steel spine, a padded seat in dark green vinyl, and solid timber legs. The steel spine gives the back a little flex for comfort and a distinctive industrial line.
It is compact, easy to wipe and comfortable for a meal, which makes it a reliable choice for cafes and casual dining rooms seating at density. Steel, timber and seat colours are specified separately.
Durability details. The steel spine is powder-coated and fixed to the seat frame with concealed fixings, so there is nothing to snag clothing. Timber legs are solid rather than veneered, which means scuffs can be sanded and touched up. Seat covers are easy to replace when a venue refreshes its colour scheme, extending the life of the frames. Glides are matched to your floor, whether polished concrete, timber or tiles.
