The Balmain wraps a curved timber shell, filled with woven cane, around a generously padded round seat. The result sits somewhere between a cafe chair and a lounge chair: open and airy from behind, comfortable from the front. The teal seat is a strong standard colour that works with pale timber and terrazzo, but any vinyl or fabric can be specified.
The frame is solid timber with splayed legs. Because the back is relatively wide, plan around 550 mm of table edge per chair. It works best in restaurants and cafes where people stay a while.
Care and options. The cane shell is natural material and should be kept out of direct afternoon sun; dust it regularly and wipe with a damp cloth. The seat cover can be changed to any commercial vinyl, contract fabric or leather, and we keep your codes on file for reorders. For a lighter look, specify a natural or honey stain on the frame; for evening venues, a dark walnut stain with a deep green or rust seat works well.
